Passport PLAYAS! You ready to go?

A few years back we introduced a passport contest to the Plate of Nations and we have never looked back. It has been so much fun for folks to collect stamps from restaurants that they visit during the event that we have seen double digit increases in our venues’ business every year.

Needless to say, the most popular prize is our grand prize private cooking class with our restaurant owner chefs. This gives the opportunity for folks to get up close and personal to learn some of the secrets of ethnic cuisines, and get a true taste for the culture behind them. This year, the Ismail family, owners of Bananas Grill will welcome 4 lucky people into an oasis of Northeast African and Mediterranean specialties and Somali traditions. Qualify with stamps from just 12 participating restaurants.

Of course, that’s not all that you are playing for. With 10 stamps you qualify for one of TWO brand new Kindle Fire HDs! Check out and write reviews for all of your favorite Plate of Nations restaurants, take and post photos of your meals, and look up recipes for your favorite dishes!

Our second prize this year is a limited edition “Hello Othello” tote bag celebrating the most diverse community in the state of Washington, and one of the most diverse in the nation. Oh wait, did we forget to mention the BONUS SWAG?!?!
